Hazel by Astriado

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-squirrel deck built around Hazel of the Rootbloom as a mana engine and token doubler. The primary plan is to make a critical mass of Squirrels and changeling tokens, use Springleaf Parade to turn them into mana dorks, and then convert that mass into a win. The main kill is exponential Squirrel Girl activations with Thousand-Year Elixir into a large Exsanguinate; combat via Root Manipulation, Garruk's emblem, or Deep Forest Hermit buffs is a backup. Secondary paths include lifegain/drain triggers (Dina, Poison-Tip Archer, Essence Warden) and value loops with Meren or Garruk. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl acts as a hidden combo linchpin, though Hazel remains the engine the deck is built around.
