Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis Rat tribal and blink strategy commanded by Wick, the Whorled Mind. The primary game plan revolves around casting Wick to establish a Snail token, then deploying Rat creatures and casting flicker spells to rapidly place +1/+1 counters onto the Snail. Once the Snail reaches substantial power, Wick's activated ability is used to burn each opponent simultaneously while drawing an equivalent number of cards. This sudden burst of resources fuels backup win conditions, including a one-shot infect kill with Tainted Strike or Phyresis, an infinite mana and ETB loop via Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake, and wide combat overruns powered by Marrow-Gnawer and Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm. Supported by a lean, low-curve interaction and protection suite, the deck reliably navigates removal and closes games shortly after its initial card-drawing burst.
