Deck overview

This deck is a Bant Dog typal aggro strategy helmed by Sophia, Dogged Detective. The core game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive Dog creatures early, accelerating mana with 1-2 CMC mana dorks and rocks, and casting Sophia to generate Food and Clue tokens whenever Dogs connect in combat. Sophia serves as both token payoff and sacrifice outlet, converting excess artifact tokens into permanent +1/+1 counters across your entire pack of Dogs. As the board grows larger and gains combat keywords like trample and first strike, the deck overwhelms opponents through sustained combat pressure. While the deck boasts strong mana velocity and a resilient commander engine that immediately replaces itself with Tiny, it operates at a traditional casual power level due to a lack of instant-speed interaction, combo finishes, and mass board protection.
