Deck overview

This deck is a aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal strategy commanded by Edgar Markov. The game plan leverages Edgar's eminence ability to generate 1/1 Vampire tokens for free whenever any Vampire spell is cast. Early turns focus on deploying efficient low-mana Vampires to build a wide, resilient board state without needing to cast the commander immediately. Card draw engines like Skullclamp, Caretaker's Talent, and Welcoming Vampire ensure consistent hand replenishment by capitalizing on token creation. By Turn 5, the deck transitions into lethal aggression by casting Edgar Markov, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or tribal lords to multiply power and push decisive combat damage. Powerful one-sided board wipes such as Olivia's Wrath and Ruinous Ultimatum clear opposing blockers, while mass recursion cards like Patriarch's Bidding provide strong recovery against enemy sweepers. The deck delivers fast, redundant token swarms and reliable mid-game finishes.
