Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Superfriends control strategy piloted by Jared Carthalion. The game plan revolves around deploying a critical mass of planeswalkers behind a wall of token blockers generated by cards like Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Teyo, the Shieldmage, and Jared himself. Value and loyalty progression are compounded using powerful force multipliers including Oath of Teferi, The Chain Veil, Ichormoon Gauntlet, and Tam, the Possibility. The deck leverages extensive sorcery-speed removal built into planeswalker loyalty abilities alongside asymmetric sweepers like Iridian Maelstrom to maintain board control. Victory is achieved through table-wide burn via Commodore Guff and Chandra, Legacy of Fire, ultimate abilities like Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God, or an aerial assault enabled by Sarkhan the Masterless. The mana base incorporates a ten-Guildgate package alongside Maze's End for incidental utility.
