Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls — Rakdos Burn & Drain by cmwestmo

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck executes a group-slug burn strategy centered on Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The main objective is to establish persistent damage triggers on opponents turns to maximize Valgavoths growth and card advantage engine. Early permanents like Kederekt Parasite, Razorkin Needlehead, and Underworld Dreams ensure opponents lose life during their draw steps, yielding steady draw triggers and counters for your commander. The primary win condition is closing out games through life total exhaustion and massive commander combat damage, bolstered by life-loss multipliers like Torture Pit and game-ending bursts from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Massacre Wurm, or Chandra's Ignition.
