Deck overview

This deck is a Jund forced-combat and goad strategy commanded by Thantis, the Warweaver. The game plan accelerates through land and artifact ramp in the opening turns, assembling a high-impact combat controller by Turn 5. Once Thantis, the Warweaver or redundant anchors like Fumiko the Lowblood, Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer, or Kardur, Doomscourge enter the battlefield, all players are compelled to attack each turn. By forcing opponents to crash their creatures into each other while diverting damage through goad, rattlesnakes, and fog effects, the deck drains opposing life totals rapidly. Meanwhile, death- and combat-triggered engines such as Deathreap Ritual, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and Toski, Bearer of Secrets replenish the hand. Surviving players are closed out around Turn 8 through a massive Thantis, Moraug, Fury of Akoum extra combat steps, or direct burn punishers.
