Deck overview

This Goro-Goro and Satoru deck is a high-tempo aggro and combat-token deck. The strategy relies on casting cheap, unblockable one-drops on early turns, resolving the commander on Turn 3, and immediately generating 5/5 flying Dragon Spirit tokens by attacking with creatures that entered the battlefield that turn. The deck scales its airborne army using token doublers, populate effects, and haste enablers. It protects its key assets through cheap targeted protection spells like Shore Up and protective equipment like Lightning Greaves, while using efficient counterspells to stop opposing win attempts and board wipes. As an alternate finish, the deck contains an infinite combat loop with Rionya, Fire Dancer and Combat Celebrant. Although it lacks proactive stax pieces and broad removal for noncreature permanents, its linear combat velocity and rapid dragon production place intense life-total pressure on opponents starting on Turn 5, closing games out reliably by Turn 7.
