Deck overview

This is a midrange Grixis Villain tribal deck helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The core plan leverages the commander's combat-step connive and land-discard drain alongside a dense suite of legendary Villains that also connive, create tokens, or punish opponents. Discard outlets and enablers (Containment Construct, Currency Converter, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, cycling lands) fuel both the life-loss trigger and mayhem/recursion lines, while anthems and force-multipliers (The Squadron Sinister, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Patchwork Banner) turn a wide board of menace creatures into lethal combat. Secondary pressure comes from exile-play engines (Kang Prime, Doom's Time Platform, Klaw, Master of Sound) and drain effects. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through attrition combat and incremental life loss in the mid-to-late game.
