Deck overview

This mono-green deck uses Kodama of the West Tree to merge +1/+1 counter synergies with aggressive landfall acceleration. By deploying early low-cost creatures that gain counters, such as Vinelasher Kudzu and Quirion Beastcaller, the deck establishes modified attackers before casting its commander on Turn 3. Kodama grants these creatures trample and searches a basic Forest directly onto the battlefield whenever they deal combat damage. This rapid mana velocity quickly scales the mana base to 7 or more lands by Turn 5. The deck then transitions into massive mid-game bombs like Kalonian Hydra, Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer, and Craterhoof Behemoth, overwhelming the table with huge trampling damage. While the deck possesses explosive proactive speed and resilient high-power beaters, its lack of tutors and low interaction density make it reliant on topdeck momentum and vulnerable to well-timed sweepers.
