Deck overview

This deck uses Sai, Master Thopterist to turn artifact casts into Thopter tokens and then converts spare artifacts into cards. Cheap artifacts, mana rocks, affinity creatures, and cost reducers help it build a wide board, while Master of Etherium, Chief of the Foundry, Steel Overseer, Nettlecyst, and Kappa Cannoneer convert that board into combat pressure. Its strongest games produce a large evasive army and substantial card flow from Vedalken Archmage, Shimmer Dragon, or Thopter Spy Network. The ordinary plan is slower and less consistent: the list has few ways to find specific cards, many expensive threats, and limited protection. It can answer several opposing permanents and tax attacks with Propaganda, but it cannot reliably assemble a combo, hard lock, or same-turn table kill. Expect value and board development around turn 4, a serious threat around turn 7, and a combat finish only when the board survives long enough to accumulate damage.
