Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest leads a Golgari aristocrats/lifegain deck. The primary plan is to create many Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider tokens, sacrifice them to altars or Viscera Seer, and use death/lifegain triggers to drain opponents while Blech turns every life gain into +1/+1 counters. Secondary paths use token doubling and Triumph of the Hordes for a fast kill, and the Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond, South Wind Avatar, or Professor Dellian Fel emblem loop for an infinite win. The commander is an engine amplifier rather than a required combo piece; the de facto hidden commander is Professor Dellian Fel, whose emblem converts life gain into a reusable drain.
