Deck overview

This is a classic Orzhov aristocrats deck helmed by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, built to squeeze value from every creature entering and dying. The main plan involves establishing a sacrifice outlet, a recursive creature, and a drain effect-such as Zulaport Cutthroat or the commander itself-to assemble an infinite engine. Key combos often involve Pitiless Plunderer and Ashnod's Altar with a reusable creature like Reassembling Skeleton, generating unlimited treasure and infinite life loss for the table. Secondary wins include draining through Syr Konrad, the Grim, swarming with tokens after a Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher attack, or snowballing with cards like Kokusho, the Evening Star. The deck has many reanimation tools and recursion power, making it deadly once it has reached its critical threshold.
