Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black reanimator strategy piloted by Chainer, Dementia Master. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana with Swamps and black-producing mana rocks, filling the graveyard with high-impact creature threats, and utilizing Chainer's instant-speed reanimation ability to dominate the battlefield. By targeting both friendly and opposing graveyards, Chainer can pull back game-warping creatures such as Noxious Gearhulk, Armaggon, Future Shark, Vile Mutilator, and Avacyn, Angel of Horror to control opposing boards while assembling lethal flying and menace threats. The deck backs up Chainer with redundant reanimation spells including Living Death, Reanimate, and Strands of Night, ensuring continuous threat deployment even if the commander is removed. Victory is achieved through grinding combat damage supported by incidental life loss from cards like Loyal Subordinate. The deck trades combo speed for sustained value, removal density, and mid-game graveyard domination.
