Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet Voltron and Spellslinger hybrid commander deck led by Vivi Ornitier. The game plan revolves around deploying Vivi early and utilizing equipment and low-cost noncreature spells to rapidly increase Vivi's power. Vivi's zero-mana activated ability converts its current power into an immediate burst of blue and red mana each turn, creating substantial mana velocity without relying on traditional green ramp. This mana allows the pilot to chain noncreature spells, trigger Vivi's ping damage, draw cards via combat damage engines like Robe of the Archmagi and Curiosity, and deploy heavy equipment like Hammer of Nazahn and Excalibur, Sword of Eden. The deck protects its commander with redundant ward, hexproof, and indestructible equipment alongside targeted countermagic. It closes out the game by dealing lethal commander combat damage, chaining extra combat phases through cards like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Relentless Assault, or casting Chandra's Ignition to burn the table.
