Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Ambassador Laquatus as both an outlet and a primary win condition. The main game plan focuses on controlling the early and midgame through a dense suite of counterspells such as Counterspell, Dissolve, and Didn't Say Please, while developing mana with artifact dorks like Vedalken Engineer and Omen Hawker. The deck works toward generating infinite mana through artifact combinations like Basalt Monolith paired with Forsaken Monument or Rings of Brighthearth. Once infinite mana is active, Ambassador Laquatus activates repeatedly at instant speed to mill every card from all opponents' libraries, leaving them to lose on their upcoming draw steps. If artifact lines face disruption, the deck pivots into an independent creature-based flicker combo using Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake. The deck thrives by maintaining stack control and executing its compact combo finish in a single turn.
