Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Talrand, Sky Summoner to convert instant and sorcery spells into an evasive army of 2/2 flying Drake tokens. The game plan focuses on deploying Talrand by Turn 4, then playing a draw-go control strategy that holds up mana for counterspells, cantrips, and bounce spells. As the pilot reacts to opposing threats during opponent turns, Talrand continuously populates the board with flying creatures. Card advantage engines such as Reconnaissance Mission, Brainsurge, and Flow of Knowledge keep the hand full of fresh interaction. While the deck boasts strong stack control and creature bounce through cards like Evacuation and Aetherize, its win condition relies on gradual combat damage across multiple turn cycles. Because the deck lacks infinite combos and fast mana, it wins through sustained attrition and aerial swarm superiority.
