Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis Wheel and Discard Burn strategy led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary game plan revolves around assembling passive damage punishers—such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Orcish Bowmasters, and Liliana's Caress—and chaining mass wheel effects like Windfall, Wheel of Misfortune, and Dark Deal. These wheels simultaneously strip opposing hands, deal massive chunks of damage across the table, and generate overwhelming mana and creature tokens through Waste Not and Bone Miser. Sauron, the Dark Lord acts as a resilient, ward-protected alternate engine, generating large Orc Armies and filtering through the library with Ring-temptation triggers. Supported by universal black tutors and asymmetrical attrition pieces like Tergrid, God of Fright and Sire of Insanity, the deck reliably establishes a lethal threat state on Turn 5 and eliminates all opponents within a single turn cycle.
