Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir Combo-Control list led by Phenax, God of Deception. While Phenax enables explosive mill lines with high-toughness creatures like Charix, the Raging Isle, Tree of Perdition, and Eater of the Dead, the deck's most efficient path to victory relies on compact combos such as Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, and Duskmantle Guildmage paired with Mindcrank. A dense suite of premium tutors—including Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Spellseeker—ensures fast and consistent assembly by Turn 4. The deck defends its win attempts and disrupts opponents using efficient interaction like Fierce Guardianship, Pact of Negation, Toxic Deluge, and Cyclonic Rift, alongside card engines like Rhystic Study and Black Market Connections.
