Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck built around Vivi Ornitier as a grow-your-own-mana engine and table-wide pinger. The plan is to cheaply and repeatedly cast noncreature spells, turning Vivi Ornitier into both a ritual that produces {U}/{R} equal to its power and a global burn source. The deck then leverages that mana to deploy huge Izzet payoffs - Prismari, the Inspiration for storm, Niv-Mizzet, Parun for draw-ping inevitability, and Time Stretch/Capture of Jingzhou for extra-turn chains - before finishing with spellslinger burn and storm copies. Niv-Mizzet, Parun is effectively a second commander, while Vivi Ornitier is best understood as an accelerator that amplifies the deck's natural spells-matter plan rather than the plan itself.
