Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Midrange strategy focused on Tyranid creature synergy, +1/+1 counters, and scaling X-spell threats. Led by The Swarmlord, the deck accelerates its mana development during the early turns using ramp spells like Farseek, Cultivate, and specialized creature ramp like Biophagus and Nexos. It transitions into the midgame by deploying large Tyranids with the Ravenous mechanic, which replace themselves in hand when cast for five or more mana. The Swarmlord provides consistent card replenishment whenever modified creatures die, disincentivizing opposing blockers and board wipes. In the late game, the deck converts its tall, counter-laden creatures into lethal combat steps using overrun and evasion enablers like Old One Eye, Clamavus, and Winged Hive Tyrant. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking stack interaction, the deck presents resilient, high-volume combat pressure.
