Deck overview

Zodiark, Umbral God leads a mono-black sacrifice-control deck. The core plan is to sacrifice creatures and force opponents to sacrifice theirs, stacking +1/+1 counters on Zodiark while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and The Meathook Massacre drain every opponent. Edict effects clear boards, and Dictate of Erebos turns each death into extra sacrifices. Recursive tools-Animate Dead, Necromancy, The Soul Stone, Whip of Erebos-let the deck repeat waves of death triggers. Big-mana spells such as Rise of the Dark Realms, Awakening Hall, and Exsanguinate close games. Tergrid is a strong secondary payoff, but there is no hidden commander. No compact infinite combo exists; wins are value-driven.
