Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive, tribal-focused list helmed by Thorin Oakenshield. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap Dwarves, Equipment, and Sagas to rapidly satisfy the Storied mechanic. Once an enduring story is active, Thorin grants ward {1} across your entire board, shielding your creatures from cheap spot removal while enablers like Kíli the Resourceful and Fíli the Pathfinder generate card draw and token swarms. The deck steadily expands its board presence, utilizing anthem effects like Warleader's Call and equipment like Orcrist, Goblin-cleaver to turn small creatures into formidable combat threats. While the list lacks fast-mana acceleration and dedicated tutors, its high redundancy of low-cost creatures ensures consistent early development. Victory is achieved through persistent combat pressure and burn triggers from Balin, Loremaster, closing out games over multiple combat cycles with the aid of evasion tools like Hazardous Blast.
