Deck overview

Phenax turns every high-toughness blocker into a milling machine, and this list leans into that plan rather than forcing an early combo. The primary route is to land Phenax, park creatures such as Hover Barrier and Aegis Turtle on defense, then tap them repeatedly to strip libraries. Cut Your Losses, Maddening Cacophony, Traumatize, and Jidoor's adventure are one-shot half-library shots; Riverchurn Monument and The Water Crystal multiply the mill. Phenax can remain an indestructible enchantment when devotion is low, so early walls, signets, and draw filters matter more than turning him into a creature. Secondary wins hide in Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank and Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal, both of which can convert a mana-positive board into lethal mill or drain.
