Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange engine built around -1/-1 counter proliferation and attrition, commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy establishes rapid mana development through dense low-cost ramp, deploying the commander on Turn 3 or 4 to transform counter placement into recurring card advantage and life drain. From there, the deck spreads wither and blight counters across opposing boards using sweepers such as Carnifex Demon, Midnight Banshee, and Black Sun's Zenith. Opponents find their boards locked down under Kulrath Knight or stolen via Necroskitter, while Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses generate swarms of deathtouch tokens. The game closes through relentless table-wide drain, explosive burn from All Will Be One, or the infinite death loop of Blowfly Infestation with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. While soft to countermagic and board sweepers, the deck creates overwhelming resource disparity through the midgame.
