Deck overview

Archelos, Lagoon Mystic leads a casual Sultai value deck with three overlapping themes: landfall, Shamans, and creature recursion. Its strongest ordinary engine is Tatyova, Benthic Druid supported by Cultivate, Rampant Growth, Farseek, Sakura-Tribe Scout, and Mole Man, Moloid Master. Once Tatyova is active, land drops become repeatable card and life advantage. Zendikar's Roil, Eusocial Engineering, Mossborn Hydra, and Retreat to Kazandu convert those land drops into a growing battlefield, while Opposition can use the creatures to tap opposing permanents. The deck also has a reasonable spread of counters and spot removal. Its central weakness is structural: it generates value and board presence without a reliable final conversion. It has no supported infinite combo, compact alternate win, or total lock, and its many tapped lands slow development. It is therefore a functional general-power deck, not a competitive race or control shell.
