Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos midrange strategy helmed by The Great Goblin, focusing on accumulating +1/+1 counters on Goblins, Orcs, and Army tokens while converting creature deaths into card advantage. The game plan centers on deploying efficient Amass engines such as Dreadhorde Invasion, March from the Black Gate, and Mauhúr, Uruk-hai Captain to repeatedly trigger the commander's 2-damage burn ability. In the midgame, the deck leverages wide Goblin swarms and tall Army creatures empowered by menace and trample granters like Angrath, Captain of Chaos, Warg Rider, and Great Goblin, Foul-Hearted. A solid reanimation package featuring Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Victimize provides resilience against board wipes by returning high-impact threats like The Balrog, Durin's Bane and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed. While lacking stack countermagic and fast combo finishes, the deck applies relentless life total pressure through redundant combat steps and burn triggers.
