32. Orzhov Voltron by Lamont

Format: Commander

Commander: Winter Soldier, Icy Assassin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Winter Soldier, Icy Assassin is a low-to-the-ground Orzhov equipment-voltron deck. The plan is to put three or more cheap Equipment on Winter, grow his power through his +2/+0 per Equipment trigger, and attack for 21 commander damage before opponents stabilize. Cid, Danitha, Puresteel Paladin, Kili, and Forge Anew discount casting or equipping, while Sram, Puresteel, Mask of Memory, and Sword of Forge and Frontier keep cards flowing. Winter's activated ability recycles him from the graveyard and immediately reattaches a surviving Equipment, giving the deck a strong rebuild angle. Secondary routes are carried by Cecil, Ronin, Armored Skyhunter, and Silverblade Paladin. The deck is fast and redundant but artifact-heavy and commander-centric, with no counterspells.
