Emet-Selch of the Third Seat Attempt by lcannafa

Format: Commander

Commander: Emet-Selch of the Third Seat

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir spellslinger deck built around Emet-Selch of the Third Seat, reducing the cost of spells cast from the graveyard by {2} and enabling a once-per-turn "free" cast from the graveyard whenever an opponent loses life. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with instants and sorceries through looting, surveil, and self-mill, then reuse them repeatedly for incremental advantage. Exsanguinate serves as the primary finisher, using the cost reduction and repeated castings to drain the table. Candlekeep Inspiration can turn a wide board of tokens from Talrand, Sky Summoner and Murmuring Mystic into lethal attackers. The deck also includes reanimation for creatures and token generation to apply pressure. It aims to control the board with counterspells and removal while grinding value out of the graveyard, closing out the game in the mid-to-late turns.
