Commander: The Infamous Cruelclaw

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos "cheat out big spells" deck helmed by The Infamous Cruelclaw. The commander's combat trigger exiles cards from the top of the library until a nonland and lets you cast that card by discarding a card instead of paying its mana cost - effectively a repeatable discount engine that puts the deck's many 6-9 CMC bombs onto the battlefield ahead of curve. The 99 is packed with cascade spells (Bituminous Blast, Maelstrom Colossus, Noise Marine, Meteoric Mace), free-cast effects (Etali, Primal Storm, Cosmic Cube, Crabomination, Hit the Mother Lode), and damage doublers (Angrath's Marauders, Fiendish Duo) to convert those threats into a fast clock. An extra-combat subtheme (Scourge of the Throne, Grim Reaper's Sprint, Bloodsworn Steward) chains attacks to close out the table. The deck wins through overwhelming combat damage rather than any infinite combo.
