Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Mutate Midrange strategy piloted by Otrimi, the Ever-Playful. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive, or hexproof non-Human host creatures such as Slippery Bogle, Silhana Ledgewalker, and Ukkima, Stalking Shadow, then mutating Otrimi or complementary mutate creatures onto them from Turn 4 onward. By merging powerful mutate triggers onto durable host bodies, the deck generates compounding card advantage and board presence while threatening lethal commander damage. High-impact mutate payloads like Auspicious Starrix, Brokkos, Apex of Forever, and Insatiable Hemophage rapidly escalate table pressure and cheat permanents into play, while Otrimi's combat damage ability continually recurs spent mutate creatures from the graveyard. Efficient interaction including Assassin's Trophy, Deadly Rollick, and Force of Vigor keeps opposing threats in check. Because the deck closes games through sequential combat damage without infinite combos or extra turns, it requires multiple response cycles to eliminate all three opponents, leaning on targeted protection spells to maintain its board.
