Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Dragon tribal stompy strategy led by Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana rocks and Dragon cost-reducers such as Dragonlord's Servant, Acolyte of Bahamut, and Shadow in the Warp during the first three turns. This acceleration allows the deck to cast its six-mana commander or a major Dragon threat by Turn 5. On Turn 6, the deck initiates critical pressure by attacking with Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire, forcing opponents to sacrifice key permanents while flipping high-cost permanents into play. Supported by catastrophic combat multipliers like Utvara Hellkite, Terror of the Peaks, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen, the deck scales its board presence rapidly, closing out games via evasive flying combat damage by Turn 8. While the deck boasts high redundancy in large aerial threats, it operates with minimal dedicated card draw engines and limited stack protection.
