Deck overview

This Jeskai Equipment Voltron deck, helmed by Captain America, First Avenger, is a midrange strategy that leverages the commander's Throw ability to convert Equipment into direct damage while also using classic combat damage triggers from Swords. The deck runs an exceptionally high density of Equipment (22 pieces) and a robust protection suite, aiming to suit up the commander and either attack with evasion or throw high-mana-value Equipment for lethal. Secondary win conditions include commander damage and extra combat from Relentless Assault. The deck is built around the commander's unique interaction, but it can also function by equipping other creatures and winning through combat. The combination of repeatable draw from Puresteel Paladin and The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster provides consistent card flow, while tutors like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Enlightened Tutor ensure access to key Equipment.
