Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Gruul turbo combo list built around Etali, Primal Conqueror. The primary game plan focuses on deploying high-density fast mana artifacts, spirit guides, and explosive rituals to cast Etali as early as Turn 2 or Turn 3. When Etali enters the battlefield, its trigger exiles the top nonland card of each player's library and casts them for free. The deck leverages cheap red copy spells like Twinflame, Molten Duplication, and Heat Shimmer to create token copies of Etali, repeatedly triggering fresh waves of free spells and cascading through the entire pod's libraries. To guarantee table-closing inevitability, the list incorporates compact infinite combos including Food Chain with Squee, the Immortal for infinite creature mana and ETB loops, as well as Dualcaster Mage copy chains. Supported by premier free interaction and protection like Deflecting Swat and Veil of Summer, the deck consistently threatens an explosive, same-turn table elimination.
