Deck overview

This deck is a Bant stompy and creature-storm midrange deck commanded by Helga, Skittish Seer. The game plan revolves around accelerating Helga onto the battlefield on Turn 3, then chaining high-mana-value creatures (costing 4 or more mana) starting on Turn 4. Each large creature cast triggers Helga to draw a card, gain life, and add a +1/+1 counter, which in turn increases the amount of restricted mana Helga generates when tapped. The deck leverages this explosive mana and card advantage to deploy massive threats such as Apex Devastator, Koma, World-Eater, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus on Turn 5. It closes out games on Turns 6 and 7 through overwhelming combat damage amplified by counter doublers, trample enablers, and Akroma's Will. A strong suite of cheap counterspells and instant-speed protective spells shields the board from opposing disruption.
