Commander: Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student // Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student is a cheap, flying investigation enabler; the deck is built to transform her into Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar, whose -3 recurs instants and sorceries and whose ultimate becomes a large draw spell. The actual kill is artifact-infinity: Deadeye Navigator plus Peregrine Drake, or Hullbreaker Horror plus Mox Amber and Sol Ring, makes infinite mana, and Walking Ballista drains the table. Secondary value comes from Clue tokens: Academy Manufactor, Lonis, Jaheira, and Adrix and Nev bury opponents in artifacts and mana. A suite of counterspells and flicker spells protects the assembly. There is no hidden commander; Urza and Lonis act as powerful support engines rather than alternate win conditions.
