Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color spellslinger combo and value engine built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the Prepare mechanic. Rather than playing as a pure glass-cannon, the deck leverages prepare creature cards that double as powerful instant and sorcery spells, enabling explosive Magecraft triggers with Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Veyran, Voice of Duality. The deck accelerates mana using efficient 1-2 CMC dorks and cost-reducing wizards, allowing it to quickly assemble its primary win condition: the infinite combo of Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame. This combo creates arbitrarily large numbers of hasty 2/2 creature tokens that attack the entire table for lethal damage on the turn they are deployed. Dense creature tutoring and redundant Magecraft lines ensure consistency, while versatile spot removal and cheap countermagic protect the engine from opposing interaction.
