Deck overview

This Abzan deck is a graveyard-centric combo and aristocrats engine commanded by Nethroi, Apex of Death. The core game plan focuses on rapid mana acceleration and aggressive self-mill during the early turns to seed the graveyard with key utility creatures and combo pieces. On Turn 5, the deck casts Nethroi for its mutate cost onto a non-Human creature, triggering a mass reanimation of up to 10 power. This instantly reanimates the classic Reveillark and Karmic Guide infinite loop alongside a free sacrifice outlet like Viscera Seer or Altar of Dementia and an aristocrat drain payoff such as Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. Once assembled, the loop drains all opponents from full life at instant speed. The deck features strong redundancy, resilient graveyard recovery, and flexible removal, balanced by a vulnerability to instant-speed graveyard exile and anti-ETB effects.
