Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact midrange strategy led by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. The primary plan focuses on deploying low-cost artifact creatures and utility pieces early to establish board presence and deal consistent combat damage. Each combat connection increments the player's Speed counter. Once Max Speed (Speed 4) is unlocked around Turn 5 or 6, Mendicant Core copies every artifact spell cast for just one additional mana. This allows the deck to flood the board with duplicate Vehicles, token producers, and massive artifact-based threats like The Prydwen, Steel Flagship and Riptide Gearhulk. The deck protects its engine using dedicated low-cost defensive pieces like Fugitive Droid, Diversion Unit, and Teyo, Lightshield Expert, while utilizing ETB removal to clear opposing blockers. Games are closed out through overwhelming combat damage from high-power Vehicles and an artifact-scaled commander.
