Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius token-swarm and card-advantage engine led by Bard, King of Dale. The commander provides two replacement effects: doubling all token creation and doubling every extra card drawn. The deck uses early turns to deploy ramp, card-filtering spells, and taxing permanents like Rhystic Study and Smothering Tithe. Once the commander resolves, simple cantrips and recruit triggers turn into massive card flow and wide creature armies. The deck closes games through multiple overlapping avenues: swarming opponents with doubled token armies pumped by Elspeth, Storm Slayer and Cosmogrand Zenith, burning out life totals using Psychosis Crawler, or digging directly into Approach of the Second Sun and Halo Fountain. Strong reactive countermagic and protection spells such as Teferi's Protection defend the engine, while redundant token doublers ensure resilience if the commander is removed.
