Deck overview

Szarekh, the Silent King commands a mono-black artifact reanimator deck focused on self-mill, attrition, and recursive combat pressure. The deck develops mana rocks on the early turns to cast Szarekh on Turn 4, attacking on Turn 5 to fill the graveyard with artifact creatures and Vehicles. In the mid-game, it pivots into heavy beaters and value engines such as Anrakyr the Traveller, Imotekh the Stormlord, and devastating C'tan shards. The deck grinds down opposing life totals through evasive fliers, unearth swarms, and mass reanimation via Living Death or Their Number Is Legion. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to graveyard recursion and Cryptothrall, the deck plays at a deliberate preconstructed tempo without infinite combos or stack countermagic, closing out games across several combat rotations.
