Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black control and group-slug strategy commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary game plan converts symmetric and forced card draw into lethal asymmetrical life drain. By pairing Sheoldred with artifacts like Teferi's Puzzle Box, Howling Mine, and Font of Mythos, each opponent loses substantial life on every draw step while the pilot gains massive amounts of life. Symmetrical wheel effects such as Dark Deal and high-impact sorceries like Peer into the Abyss act as devastating burst damage spells. The deck features heavy functional redundancy in life-drain engines, including Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Fate Unraveler, and Underworld Dreams, alongside the game-ending infinite combo of Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Robust board wipes, targeted removal, and passive creature deterrents like No Mercy and Phyrexian Obliterator protect life totals until drain triggers eliminate the table.
