Deck overview

This Selesnya midrange deck is led by Treebeard, Gracious Host, combining Food token generation with lifegain triggers to build overwhelming combat threats. The deck utilizes low-cost ramp and Halfling synergies to cast Treebeard on Turn 4, immediately generating two Food tokens. By Turn 6, repeated Food activations and passive lifegain from cards like Sam, Loyal Attendant and Prosperous Innkeeper place massive stacks of +1/+1 counters onto Treebeard and other Halflings. With natural trample and Ward {2}, Treebeard applies lethal commander damage while auxiliary beaters like Feasting Hobbit and Banquet Guests pressure the rest of the table. Asymmetric sweepers like The Battle of Bywater clear larger opposing boards while sparing small Halflings, and The Ozolith retains accumulated counters through removal. The deck closes games reliably on Turn 8 through decisive combat damage and overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede.
