Deck overview

This Simic deck combines Frog typal combat with an explosive self-mill engine centered on Grolnok, the Omnivore. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and establishing low-cost Frogs to ensure Grolnok enters play on Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, every attacking Frog triggers Grolnok to mill three cards, routing permanent cards into exile with croak counters. Because over three-quarters of the deck consists of permanents, these attacks generate vast card advantage by turning exile into an expanded hand. The deck rapidly digs toward empty-library win conditions in Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, accelerated by burst self-mill like Traumatize and Mesmeric Orb. A secondary combat route leverages scaling threats like Valley Mightcaller, Froghemoth, and Twenty-Toed Toad. Efficient countermagic and spot removal protect key turns, while stun counters and Frogify effects provide valuable combat tempo.
