Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is a treasure-and-burn commander. The deck accelerates to him with rituals, cost-reducers, and mana rocks, then uses noncombat damage to Smaug-Pyrohemia, Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction-to flood the board with Treasures. Those Treasures feed sacrifice payoffs like Mayhem Devil, Reckless Fireweaver, and Marionette Master, or fuel huge X spells. Secondary paths include a Storm-Kiln Artist/Reiterate ritual loop and an 8/7 hasty flier applying pressure. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander; the deck is built around Smaug's damage-trigger machine. Expect a mid-speed combo/aggro deck that wins fastest when Pyrohemia and a ping engine are together, and can still grind through artifact-storm or Wrathful Red Dragon redirects.
