Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Voltron and Spellslinger hybrid commanded by Tetsuo, Imperial Champion. The strategy focuses on accelerating Tetsuo onto the battlefield on Turn 3 and attaching high-mana-value Equipment on Turn 4. When Tetsuo attacks, his triggered ability circumvents normal mana restrictions, casting powerful extra-turn spells, extra-combat sorceries, or massive draw effects for free from hand. Alternatively, Tetsuo can direct heavy non-combat burn equal to his equipment's mana value directly at opposing threats or life totals. High-impact equipment such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden and Sword of Feast and Famine provides both massive stat boosts and high casting thresholds. The deck protects its central engine using free defensive spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, alongside uncounterable lands and equipment shields. It closes games rapidly on Turns 4 to 5 by chaining consecutive turns and combats.
