Commander: Golbez, Crystal Collector

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir artifact-value deck helmed by Golbez, Crystal Collector, a commander who turns artifact density into card flow (surveil), recursion, and a life-drain finisher. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of cheap artifacts, leverage Golbez's end-step trigger to return a high-power creature from the graveyard (notably Phyrexian Dreadnought), and drain each opponent for its power. Backup win conditions include Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge's +2 damage ability and the Phyrexian mode of Mirrodin Besieged (exile opponents with 15+ artifact cards in the graveyard). The deck operates as a midrange value engine, using artifact token generators, cost reducers, and a handful of counterspells to protect its board while churning through the library.
