Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari forced-combat and aristocrat strategy piloted by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest. The game plan revolves around playing multi-type cards—such as artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, artifact lands, and kindred spells—to trigger Rendmaw and generate 2/2 black Bird tokens for every player. Because these Birds are goaded for the rest of the game, opponents are forced to attack each other in the air, creating rapid mutual life loss while leaving you untouched. The deck leverages this forced aggression with cards like Calculating Lich, Blood Seeker, and Coat of Arms to accelerate the clock, while punishing the inevitable token casualties using death triggers from Massacre Wurm, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Bastion of Remembrance. Supported by low-cost protection spells and versatile removal, the deck efficiently converts forced multiplayer combat into a decisive win.
