Deck overview

This mono-black midrange deck is commanded by Madame Null, Power Broker, focusing on leveraging life as a resource to double the power and +1/+1 counters of entering artifact creatures. By pairing modular units, scalable constructs, and lifelink equipment like Shadowspear and Basilisk Collar, the deck continuously refills its life buffer to fuel larger threats. Synergies with The Ozolith, Agatha's Soul Cauldron, and The Ooze preserve counter momentum through board wipes and trades, while big-mana engines like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and the Urza land suite enable explosive late-game turns. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage, wide token swarms from Threefold Thunderhulk, or reach via Walking Ballista and Exsanguinate. While the deck excels at creating massive stat blocks and dominating creature combat, it remains reliant on untapping with its threats and has limited interaction against opposing noncreature spells on the stack.
