Lightning Strikes... How much? by ForestTheTree

Format: Commander

Commander: Lightning, Army of One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One leads a Boros Equipment extra-combat deck. The main plan uses Lightning's Stagger to double all damage to a player you hit, then chains extra combats to kill the table in one turn. You equip Lightning and other attackers with Anduril, Buster Sword, and Swords, draw cards with Akiri and Puresteel Paladin, and generate Treasures with The Reaver Cleaver and Goldspan Dragon. Secondary wins come from infinite combats with Aggravated Assault plus The Reaver Cleaver, or value from Etali, Helm of the Host, and Aurelia. Lightning is a damage amplifier, not a combo piece. Aurelia and Aggravated Assault act as hidden commanders that provide the extra combats the deck needs.
